This Youtube video brought back a lot of memories for me.  I was far from being an elite gymnast, but I sure do remember such things as the stomach exercises on the bars, the stretching exercises (the splits on the raised mats and stretching your leg while someone pushes it to your ear!), prepping the bars by adding or removing additional chalk and the running and dancing around the mats.  And…the endless hours of practices!!!

Gymnastics is a hard sport.  It takes dedication, courage and commitment.  I really do miss the sport.  However, I know my body definitely doesn’t!
